2026 Steps for Vets: US Vets Run, Walk & Roll 🇺🇸We are proud to support our March veterans and nonprofit partner, the US Vets Initiative. Through a commitment to serving those who served us, March JPA donated 8 acres and $10 million to help establish the March Veterans Village in 2010.Since then, more than 200 veteran lives have been transformed through housing, support, and community. One of the key focuses of the JPA/MIPAA trip to Capitol Hill in Washington, DC this year was promoting a more sustainable joint use airport through energy resiliency. This year MIPAA received a federal grant to conduct an energy tabletop exercise in coordination with our military base and first responders. The exercise will strengthen coordination, enhance emergency preparedness and ensure continuity of operations during potential energy disruptions. The FAA continues to be a critical partner in sustaining aviation activities in Riverside County. Last year MIPAA was awarded over $6 million in FAA funding to support critical apron reconstruction work. This refurbishment project will ensure that we can continue to accommodate logistical refueling operators, air cargo and defense contractors that serve the military as well as businesses throughout the US. The March Joint Powers Authority / March Inland Port Airport Authority leadership team recently traveled to Washington, D.C. for their annual legislative trip.
